Training Seminar

ALTER TRIP is organizing a Training Seminar for the Development of Skills and the Motivation of the public sector in Accessible Tourism.

The Ministry of the Interior (Sector Macedonia and Thrace) is pleased to invite all interested parties to attend a training seminar on accessible tourism. The seminar will take place on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Mediterranean Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki, starting at 10.00 am. The seminar language will be English.

The training seminar is being organized as part of the ALTER TRIP project, which is focused on promoting alternative tourism experiences. The aim of the seminar is to improve the capacities of all interested parties regarding the proper use of infrastructure for easy access for people with mobility problems in public spaces, such as places of cultural and national heritage.

The seminar program will cover a range of topics related to accessible tourism, including the European strategy for the rights of people with disabilities 2021-2030, motivating and training people with disabilities, and the benefits of accessible tourism for society and the economy.

The training seminar is part of the Ministry of the Interior (Sector Macedonia and Thrace)’s efforts to promote accessible tourism and to improve the quality of services offered to people with disabilities and addresses to all interested parties, including tour guides, public officials, NGOs, specialized staff, workers in cultural and national heritage monuments, and others.
